China vs God

While those of us in the West continue to enjoy our modern-day comforts we need to be concerned about what is happening in China, namely a fever-pitch rise in secularism and a new form of totalitarianism injected with modern tools that make resistance almost impossible.

Today, the threat of atheism, which fuels authoritarian rule, is even greater. China contains half of the world’s population. It also has its tendrils throughout the rest of the world as it becomes even more aggressive as a police state at home and industrial mob-boss abroad, employing new technology to monitor and control not only its own “netizens,” but its global partners as well, as detailed in this report you might find most disconcerting.

And this gives me pause to reflect on the subject matter contained in Paper 195 of the Urantia Book, where the authors extensively discuss the dangers of two primary social constructs of the modern age:

  1. Materialism/Secularism
  2. Totalitarianism

In my early years of study I had considered these two subjects directed more at the early 20th Century, as modern secularism through socialism was quite rampant and of course, Russia and China were pursuing communist goals which opened the door to Totalitarian governments in smaller countries like Cuba North Korea, and others, as this horrific ideology spread

Over time Russia seemed to moved towards a more open Democracy (relatively speaking), and China also seemed to be embracing modern open-markets and presumably, seemed more open to democracy.

Wrong.

If you read the news you are becoming aware that human-rights in China are at an all-time low, and religious expression is under full assault by the Communist party. When half of our world is run by a government which has made it against the law to believe in God and only give adherence to Chairman Xi, there is a problem.

One wonders what our unseen friends make of it.

Urantia Book Historian Larry Mullins mentioned he was informed on one occasion the Revelators, during the early years of World War II, had expressed grave concerns (in the spiritual echelons of planetary government) about the rise of communism, so much so that it delayed the completion of the Urantia Book for almost ten years while celestial and world armies were at busy at war.

Because China wields so much planetary influence, it is easy to contemplate the importance of not letting an atheistic regime such as China’s reign supreme.

In an update, 27 victims of the Chinese government gave testimony today in Washington. These members, many of whom spent years in prison because of their faith in Falun Gong pledged to witness to the world the atrocities that are even now occurring in China against people of faith, and more pressure is mounting, the word is out, at least in the West, and one only hopes that the actual people of China can be made aware of the atrocities that are being committed in their name, the peoples name, as the Communist Party of China seeks to stamp out God in its country, in order to keep its country under lock and key in both mind and spirit.

The Importance of History

One of the many reasons I love the Urantia Book is because it puts reality into context.

For example, Papers 69 to 70 retell the story of mans’ early beginnings as a communal and social creature. We have forgotten our past and so the behavior we see today in the world is a direct result of us having become so detached from the past; we have forgotten the pain and suffering of humanity over millennia and we take for granted our ease of life today, so much so that we act like crying babies who want our bottle and we want it NOW.

Man is not so far removed from the jungle from whence he came, and our selfish and self-centered behavior today warrants a trip back in time to review our early beginnings, which I hope you will do by streaming Urantia Radio.com all of this week.

We are reminded through the recital of these papers how and why certain societies emerge, what conditions influence migration, what the “rules” are in any society between otherwise bellicose people.

The authors of the book, the ones who were there and took note of our long ascent to lordship of the earth, put to rest any notion that entitlement behavior is acceptable as “rights” simply because we born into this time.

The law of evolutionary struggle is very clear, there is no room for entitlement or so-called Human Rights, at least as far as it concerns what we are entitled to simply by birthright. Man ascends because of hardship, while today our world is all about ease-seeking. We seek to minimize pain as an antidote from true happiness that only comes from real effort. Man was destined to work, to put the effort into the outcome, but life only becomes about comfort and material things, life becomes superficial, and this is why superficiality rules the western world today.

I love these four papers on the evolution of society and government. I hope you enjoy listening as well.

These are the lessons of the past. What you are hearing many are hearing for the first time ever on UrantiaRadio.com

Enjoy!

China and the Spiritual Threat

by JR Watkins

While those of us in the west continue to enjoy our modern-day comforts we need to be concerned about what is happening in China,

Today, the threat of atheism is even greater. China contains half of the world’s population. It also has its tendrils throughout the rest of the world as it becomes even more aggressive as a police state, employing new technology to monitor and control not only its citizens, but its global partners as well, as detailed in this report you will find most disconcerting.

And this gives me pause to reflect on the subject matter contained in Paper 195 of the Urantia Book, where the authors extensively discuss the dangers of two primary social constructs of the modern age:

  1. Materialism/Secularism

  2. Totalitarianism

In my early years of study I had considered these two subjects directed more at the early 20th Century, as modern secularism was quite rampant and of course, Russia and China were pursuing communist goals which opened the door to Totalitarian governments in smaller countries like Cuba and North Korea as this ideology spread

When half of our world is run by a government has made it against the law to believe in God and only give adherence to  Chairman Xi, and this same government we will lock you up if you believe otherwise (and can now watch every move you make thanks to that smartphone you love and carry around with you everywhere you go), there is a problem.  I am sure this problem has even arrested the attention of our unseen friends on high, as it should concern us humans as well.

So with this in mind I have posted the audio narrative of Paper 195 all this week, which takes us from the time after Pentecost, to the modern age, including an extensive narrative on the dangers of Materialism, Secularism, Mechanism, atheistic Science, and especially the extreme dangers of Totalitarianism – which arise from these ideologies.

Is it prophecy? A warning perhaps?

Please enjoy this weekend’ Urantia Radio where we present paper 195 for your listening pleasure.
